Many of you are asking how to do the Scrapbooking so here it is. I hope I can be of help. Thank you for admiring my Scraps.

Digital Scrapbooking - What is it all about anyway? Please read here:

I have discovered Digital Scrapbooking long time ago but I didn’t really pursue it. It’s because I don’t really know exactly what to do. I remember looking at peoples LOs (layouts) on the internet. I was fascinated. I was admiring their works and I said to myself I wan’t to do that. I started downloading freebies from the internet and started doing some of the QPs. QP means a ready made templete. You just add your photo and it’s done. I just keep downloading freebies ’til to this day.

Anyways Minnie taught me how to do the basic scrapbooking from the scratch. She taught me how to do the background, how to add the photo and the text. Thanks a lot Minnie. Later on, I discovered how to do the kit on my own. But still I didn’t have the courage to show my works until I started lurking at Dropshots where all the Pinay posted their LOs. They inspired me and I just did it. I joined them and we are just having fun sharing our scraps. Thank you all Dropshots Buddies! You know who you are.

What do you need to do Scrapbooking? Well, you need photo editing software, photos and kits.

Where to get it? You can buy software or you can try 30 days trial or use free software.

Softwares: Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, Scrapo.com, Fxfoto, Scrapbookmax, Scrapbook-Flair

  • If you don’t have experience with PSP or Photoshop I recommend Scrapbook- Flair. Everything you need to do a LO is already there. If you want a challenge why not try everything! Hey! whatever suits you. When you download freebies from the internet you have to remember where you got it so that you can give credits.

Check my side bar for Scrapbooking links. Everything you need is there!

I just want to warn you though that it can be addicting. When I’m at work all I could think is what’s my next LO, What picture I’m going to use, What kits. Call me crazy but it’s the truth. But you know sometimes I won’t be able to do the LO no matter how excited I am. As you know I have a 2 year old daughter that needs my attention. If I don’t pay her attention I probably going to replace everything in my house. Abby just love to poke everything in the house or she could get hurt…You know what I mean Mommies!

September is my favorite month of the year. You know why? It’s because September is the month I married the man that I love. It’s also the month that my daughter was born. So, what am I doing now?
Well, I am scrapping ( smile ). OK ! Actually I’m planning for my daughter’s birthday party to be held here in our place on September 23. Her actual birthday is Sept. 18 but we want to do it on a Saturday. We choose to do it on the following Saturday since our Anniversary is on Sept. 22.

Anyways, I just bought some invitation cards, decorations, and some balloons. The theme is Dora.

On September 26, is the day that my mother and brother to appear in the Canadian Immigration. They are going to take the Oath of Citizenship. They came to Canada five years ago on May 2001 4 months before our Wedding Day. And now, they are going to be a Canadian Citizen officially on Sept. 26.

Since it’s our daughter’s birthday and our anniversary. I would like to share with you her birthstory and our lovestory, wedding, and etc. By the way in a scrappy style.

It was the most significant day of our lives. The big day had finally arrived. I woke up around 7:00 am. I got up and showered and ate my breakfast. I was somewhat nervous and relaxed all the same time. I visited the hall for the last time to see if everything was Ok. The hall was looking beautiful with the stunning decorations especially after I put the centrepieces. Linda and Becky showed up and helped me. After that, I went to pick up the corsages and boutonnieres and headed to Lilia’s house. My dress was waiting for me there arrayed on one of the beds in the house. And the hairstylist and make-up artist was ready to fix me after doing the bridesmaids. We ate something and drank tea. We listened to music and took pictures. And the videographer was there as well trying to make us talk on video. Before long I was transformed into THE BRIDE. Mom and Dad (Brad’s parents) came to pick us up to go to the church. More pictures were taken. I felt like I was being transported on thin air out of the house. (Linda, Becky, and Lilia are my friends).

THE DONKEY
– Author Unknown

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

NOW… Here’s the Epilog…

The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

And… here’s the Moral to the story…

When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.
